First stop – Santillana del Mar: the “three lies” village

We begin in Santillana del Mar, known as the town of “three lies” — it’s neither holy (santa), flat (llana), nor by the sea (mar).

  • Cobblestone streets, noble houses, flowered balconies
  • Visit to the Romanesque Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana (exterior)
  • Local shops and medieval atmosphere

Second stop – Comillas: noble charm and coastal air

Next, we visit Comillas, a town rich in architectural interest.

  • Stop at Gaudí’s “El Capricho” (exterior or interior visit)
  • See the Sobrellano Palace and Pontifical University
  • Walk through the old town and fishing port

Third stop – Bárcena Mayor: time stands still
